(Producers Owners of the Emerald Triangle)
POET
POET traces its roots back to the “first hippies, heads, flower children” who settled in Northern California to “get back to the land.” Their farm, Canyon Creek Family Farms, includes second and third generation cultivators, many of whom farm the same land their ancestors did. They work with locally developed genetics suited for the diverse climates across Mendocino, Humboldt, and Trinity counties.

POET’s mission is to promote both regenerative agriculture in the Emerald Triangle by bringing to market the best 3rd party certified organic flower (Sun+Earth and/or OCal Certified) from Trinity, Humboldt, and Mendocino County, while supporting a regenerative economy by utilizing a collective model of sourcing in order to pay small family-owned farms a sustainable price for their product. All POET products are packaged in home-compostable and biodegradable packaging. POET emphasizes legacy strains, climate-adapted cultivation, and honoring the history of cannabis in the region. They see themselves as guardians of craft tradition, maintaining close connection between nature, plant, and people.
Through this lens, POET preserves craft cannabis in the Emerald Triangle by centering place, lineage, and plant genetics. They don’t just grow cannabis; they grow continuity—preserving cultural memory of how cannabis was grown, shared, and revered in this region. This gives their flower meaning both in its sensory profile and its story.
